 TYPESETTING MUSIC

CURIAD has many years experience in typesetting and publishing music of all varieties. We are now able to offer this service to individuals and other companies. Each member of our engraving team has a degree in music and is capable of setting music of all types - from a simple hymn tune to a full orchestral score!

Recent projects include typesetting a new hymn book for the Church in Wales - both sol-fa and staff notation with a total of over 900 pages, and typesetting a full score of a new opera by an Italian opera company.

We use the latest technology in our work. The 'Score' programme is at the heart of our system and the quality of the notation that this software produces is truly unbeatable. We can then provide the finished output on disk, as EPS files, or produce bromides to 1800 DPI quality. We are also able to output the work to film if required. We even go further than that: with our vast experience in the printing trade, we can take care of the complete project - from receiving your manuscript to producing the required print run for your music, including taking care of the design and print. The advantages of being able to deal with everything in house are obvious.

Also remember that we are able to produce music text books as well as sheet music. We have recently been commissioned to produce a new music dictionary that meant us typesetting 900 pages and including a number of musical examples within the text, designing a full colour cover and printing the required number of books. We may well be the only printed music one stop shop!

We are frequently praised for the quality of our work and our aim is always to work closely with customers to ensure the highest possible standards.

Naturally, our prices vary according to the nature of the work undertaken. We are very willing to offer a quotation for typesetting and printing, no matter the size of the job.
