A 75 minute opera premiered at the Bannf Centre, Alberta, Canada in 1996 and inspired by Kafka's short story 'A report to an Academy' and the 'Two Fragments' associated with it. Scored for violin, viola, double bass, saxophone, marimba, percussion, piano and five vocalists.
